LEYLAND WARRIORS 52-0 ECCLESTON LIONS
A massively understrength Lions side made
the long trip to Leyland with just 15 players, including many with knocks of
their own, and were taken to the cleaners by a very accomplished Warriors side.
It was a bad day at the office for the
visitors, but the Lions will take some consolation from the strong performances
of Karl Grounds, Mark Hurst and Jimmy Hampson.
North West Guards Man of the Match was Chris
'Iffy' Houghton, who also deservedly took the Players' Player award after his
best performance in a Lions shirt.
